Quick and Healthy Yogurt Dog Treats

Quick and Healthy Yogurt Dog Treats

Well it’s a secret no more, my dogs love yogurt dog treats! Dear heaven above, I can’t believe it…. dang dogs, scratching at the refrigerator. Luckily, my Better Whole (also known as Joe) and I live in Seattle. For those that don’t know, Seattle is where some great Greek yogurt, called Ellenos. When you visit Seattle, just meander through Pike Place Market and you’ll find them (and a whole bunch of other great things).

My Dog Loves Ellenos Yogurt - by Rebecca Sanchez, The Pet Lifestyle Guru at MattieDogYour Dog Will Think Your A Hero

You’re not a hero to your dogs? Um..yea, neither are we! I know and I’m The Pet Lifestyle Guru! Dogs…. their love can be swift and somewhat fleeting where food is involved. But in the long run, trust me, they will love you – they are dogs, their souls are made from love. So here’s the thing – with food, your dogs will completely love you, do anything you want them to, as long as you have the food ‘on’ you. Once you relinquish your pup’s treats…. well, sucker, that’s the day you gave up your rights to be God-like! For reals… seriously, did I need to teach you that? But tricks on them – yogurt has gut-healthy probiotics that will help your pooch maintain a happy intestinal track!

Yogurt Puts Me in Second Place

Yupsters….second place. That’s me, their human that takes care of them, numero two! Why? Heck if I know – the yogurt is like little taste magnets! My dogs love it! So, let’s take a closer look and we’ll find greek yogurt. Greek yogurt you say – why is that awesome for dogs? Pure whole milk sourced directly from Seattle area farmers – Seattle is magic land people, don’t fool yourself….magic! Our grass is greener (literally, we passed grass in 2015…but I digress, none of that is in Ellenos yogurt – just plain, pure, chemical free grass that cows munch on) and that makes the greek yogurt better! Well, that and no added sugar – but yet all the magical taste along with healthy probiotics made in small batches to ensure the love!

Marionberry Yogurt, Raw Almond Butter and Organic Bananas – B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Isn't this dog paw print mold the cutest? Get it along with our recipe for making gut friendly frozen yogurt treats for your dog!

Gwen Steffani would be proud! Seriously pup bakers, dog treat makers, I don’t mean fakers – these treats are awesome. All you need are the ingredients above and a mold. We use a cute little 15 tiny feet pup mold and pour our Vitamix’d whipped up recipe (one organic bananan, 1/4 cups raw organic almond butter and 1/3 of the Ellenos marionberry yogurt) into it, freeze and viola! I say that with drama – so a little oooh and aaaah would be nice! Treat every day – the tray will last 6 days in the freezer , so make sure you treat in the appropriate amount in the appropriate number of days (if your in to appropriateness and all – anything more and the mix won’t stay germ free!).

So there you go, Greek yogurt yogurt and dogs. Did I get compensated for this post? Nope. Would I? Yup! Hello(!), Ellenos Yogurt, are you listening!?! What would I take for compensation? A case of yogurt – because, as I said…were you listening(?), my dogs love Ellenos yogurt every day! Take a bit, plop a banana in a bowl, toss in some almond butter… and magic – you are making something your dogs can’t ignore. But seriously dogs… must you like everything I do?

Thanks for reading, and until next time – take care and keep on lovin’ your dog!
