National Dog Fighting Awareness Day

National Dog Fighting Awareness Day

Did you know that Wednesday, April 8, 2015, is  National Dog Fighting Awareness Day (NDFAD)? It is, and I’m joining the ASPCA to help get the word out!  This is an important day for us animals, and to me personally and I ask that you, my devoted readers, friends and fine animal advocates everywhere use social media and the hashtag #GetTough to help stomp out dog fighting. According to the ASPCA this particularly brutal form of animal cruelty occurs in every part of the country and in every type of community and we all agree that it must be stopped. My pals at the ASPCA are working to eradicate dog fighting by assisting in raids and rescues alongside law enforcement agencies and by advocating for stronger laws and sentencing for those who commit this terrible crime. But they can’t do it alone—they need our support! You can help by taking these three simple steps: Click & download the free #GetTough on dog fighting tool kit.  Click to sign the US DOJ petition asking for stronger prosecution.  Click to read about the ASPCA’s work to end dog fighting. I’ve created a little sample tweet and Facebook post – you are welcome to pin, repost, or retweet – anything to help get the #GetTough word out! Remember, Wednesday, April 8th is National Dog Fighting Awareness Day, so #GetTough on dog fighting and show your support!                           With lub, MattieDog Tweet me on Twitter – Like Me on Facebook Get My Newsletter!
